Toby Lee has a bad backend somewhat like mine but right now his is much worse. Toby tumor or myelopathy (which there is no cure for). Right now PRN has taken the first step in finding out exactly what is wrong with Toby. Toby is on steroid therapy and strict crate rest for 2 weeks. That means very little to no walking for my friend. After the two weeks if there is no change the next step will be x-rays if the x-rays show nothing an MRI will need to be done.
Toby has been seen by our wonderful PRN vets and has been updated on his vaccinations and heartworm tested (negative). Pending the results of Tobys x-rays and MRI it will be determined if surgery will be able to fix my friends backend problem. Toby is a great boy, very happy and is doing extremely well with being crated. The angels have been given a quote for the tests if needed and there pretty steep over $1,300 just for the x-rays and MRI that does'nt include the cost of surgery and hospitalization. We think Toby is worth every penny!!
