It was late in the evening when the call came in and PRN had to make a fast decision
to step in and help this Pug in need. Pug Rescue Network was looking at an astronomical vet
cost when all was said and done. Violet was taken into Pug Rescue Networks hands and first thing
Saturday Morning was taken from the emergency room to the PRN vets for a
full evaluation. Violet was given full x-rays and it was determined that
she would need surgery for a crushed pelvis that was broke in 4 spots.
There were several other bones that were broken as well but were in fragments.
Violet was given her surgery that took well over 2 hours to complete.
1 stainless steel plate and 8 screws were required to repair the damage done.
Violet is now recovering in her foster home with a strict (30) day crate rest period
except for her physical therapy. Once she is done with her physical therapy and medically cleared,
then PRN will start working on her recall and socialization. She will then be ready for
adoption.
If you would like to adopt Violet please submit an application with her
name and PRN #---. If you have it in your heart to help Violet you can
make a tax deductible donation to Pug Rescue Network. For as little as
$1.00 you can "Sponsor" Violet and make a difference in a pugs life.
