Our Volunteers are the heart and soul of this rescue. Every Pug who comes through our doors, and how they touch our lives is heartwarming. Yes, we love the breed passionately. Without the diligence of our Volunteers, Pug Rescue Network would not be what it is today.
Pug Rescue Network is happy to announce that we have 41 Volunteers in our family. Many hats are worn by every one of these people. Some are Foster Homes, some conduct Transports, others attend events to help with Fundraising. Then there are the many behind the scene tasks that the public may not be aware of such as bookkeeping, website maintenance, follow up calls and home visits just to mention a few.
It's often said that being involved in a rescue is no easy feat. It has its ups and downs. There are days when you feel frustration, happiness, personal satisfaction, sadness and joy. Then you see the gratitude of a Pug in need move on to their "Forever Home" and it makes our efforts all worthwhile.
We dedicate our March homepage to our Volunteers. The above picture was taken on 2/10/2007. It only contains half of our Volunteers. They span four different states, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Ohio. Together they make it possible to keep our mission alive. Embrace the neglected forgotten, and displaced Pugs with compassion providing hope through education and awareness helping them by finding their way to a permanent loving home.
