About the Pug Rescue Network
Founded in
2004, The Pug Rescue Network maintains a vision of saving Pugs in troubling and life threatening situations. Thanks to the
dedicated work of our volunteers, we are able to locate, retrieve, and
eventually place rescued Pugs into loving new homes.
The Pug Rescue Network (PRN) was launched in September of 2004 by a small group of individuals who have spent years working with other rescues. After seeing the tremendous difference volunteers could make in a rescued pets life, these five individuals had an idea. After spending considerable time doing research as well as participating in extensive dog training and behavioral seminars, the concept was drawn and the foundation of the Pug Rescue Network concept and mission became a reality:
Embrace the neglected, forgotten, and displaced Pugs with compassion, providing hope through education and awareness, helping them by finding their way to a permanent loving home.
To ensure each Pug is given the best chance at finding a new home, all Pugs turned into the Pug Rescue Network are evaluated for temperament and overall disposition. They are then placed into our Foster Network of private homes - we do not have a facility for you to visit.
